En el caso de un rotor de 6 polos, solo ser\u00eda necesario reducir la velocidad a 500 (la f\u00f3rmula es: 3 000 rev\/min \u00f7 n\u00famero de polos = velocidad).<br \/>\nCada uno de estos polos y, de hecho, cada uno de los devanados, al pasar por el anillo (que no es un conmutador, sino un anillo que permite que la corriente fluya hacia el rotor para que este funcione, pero que no afecta al funcionamiento del rotor), enviar\u00e1 al estator una peque\u00f1a parte de la potencia, que se rectifica para la excitaci\u00f3n del rotor.
