Desde 1996 se han introducido en Europa y Estados Unidos normativas para la reducci\u00f3n sistem\u00e1tica de las concentraciones de contaminantes en los gases de escape de los motores di\u00e9sel.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nLas sustancias contaminantes del aire generadas por la combusti\u00f3n de combustibles f\u00f3siles son responsables de una serie de efectos negativos sobre el medio ambiente y la salud, como la lluvia \u00e1cida, el smog y los gases de efecto invernadero, que se asocian con el calentamiento global y las afecciones respiratorias.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nLos gases de escape de los motores di\u00e9sel est\u00e1n compuestos principalmente por NOx, CO, HC, part\u00edculas, CO\u2082 y agua<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nNOx: \u00d3xido n\u00edtrico: Una combinaci\u00f3n de mon\u00f3xido de nitr\u00f3geno (NO) y di\u00f3xido de nitr\u00f3geno (NO\u2082) que contribuye a la formaci\u00f3n de smog y es un factor importante en la aparici\u00f3n de la lluvia \u00e1cida cuando se utilizan combustibles con un alto contenido de azufre.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nCO: Mon\u00f3xido de carbono: es ins\u00edpido, inodoro y t\u00f3xico, y se produce a altas temperaturas de combusti\u00f3n o cuando hay muy poco ox\u00edgeno disponible durante la combusti\u00f3n.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nHC: Hidrocarburos: Son el resultado de una combusti\u00f3n incompleta y se presentan en forma de diversos tipos de contaminantes.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nPM: La emisi\u00f3n de part\u00edculas forma parte de las complejas emisiones di\u00e9sel. Los componentes principales son los productos de desgaste met\u00e1lico del motor, el carbono (holl\u00edn) y los hidrocarburos procedentes del combustible y del aceite lubricante, as\u00ed como el \u00e1cido sulf\u00farico diluido que se genera a partir del azufre presente en el combustible. Tambi\u00e9n hay trazas de part\u00edculas met\u00e1licas.<br \/>\nCO\u2082: Di\u00f3xido de carbono: conocido como gas de efecto invernadero. Los niveles de emisi\u00f3n de CO\u2082 de los motores di\u00e9sel son inferiores a los de los motores de gasolina.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nEl tema de la limitaci\u00f3n y reducci\u00f3n de las emisiones de escape es sumamente complejo. Para cumplir con los l\u00edmites de emisi\u00f3n permitidos, es necesario adoptar medidas cada vez m\u00e1s exhaustivas en el dise\u00f1o del motor, la inyecci\u00f3n, la combusti\u00f3n y la tecnolog\u00eda de sobrealimentaci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como el uso de sistemas de tratamiento posterior de los gases de escape.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nTras implementar con \u00e9xito las primeras etapas de la reducci\u00f3n de emisiones en Europa y Estados Unidos, ahora hemos centrado nuestra atenci\u00f3n en las futuras normas de emisiones europeas y estadounidenses (EU Stufe IV, EPA Tier 4 final). Este es el mayor desaf\u00edo al que se han enfrentado hasta ahora los fabricantes de motores y dar\u00e1 lugar a la aplicaci\u00f3n de nuevos m\u00f3dulos tecnol\u00f3gicos.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nLa filosof\u00eda b\u00e1sica de DEUTZ: Solo introduciremos modificaciones t\u00e9cnicas en el dise\u00f1o del motor y en su complejidad cuando sea necesario para cumplir de manera segura con las disposiciones legales o los requisitos de los clientes.
