Penggunaan turbocharger dengan katup pembuangan (waste gate)<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Untuk meningkatkan kinerja mesin pada putaran rendah, diperlukan rotor turbin berdiameter lebih kecil guna mengurangi inersia rotor sehingga mesin dapat berakselerasi lebih cepat dan meningkatkan tekanan dengan cepat saat mesin beroperasi pada putaran rendah. Akibatnya, saat mesin beroperasi pada kecepatan tinggi, tekanan ledakan mesin menjadi terlalu tinggi dan beban mesin dapat melebihi batasnya. Memulai<br \/>\na. Mesin harus berada dalam kondisi putaran idle selama lebih dari 5 menit sebelum dikenakan beban tinggi. Jika mesin dinyalakan setelah baru saja beroperasi selama 30 menit, waktu putaran idle dapat dipersingkat.<br \/>\nb. Jika pelumas atau filter mesin telah diganti, atau mesin tidak beroperasi selama lebih dari satu minggu, dan mesin dijalankan dalam kondisi idle, sambungan pengisian oli harus dibuka hingga oli mulai menetes. Sebelum dikenakan beban tinggi, mesin harus dijalankan dalam kondisi idle selama 5 menit<br \/>\n2. Bekerja<br \/>\na.
